Understanding, loving, energetic, caring and active caregiver needed for an elderly lady in her 80’s at their residence located at Westridge PL., Abbotsford, BC, V2T 0E7.

Job Title: Elderly Care Giver

Position: Permanent, Full-Time 40 hours/ week.

Vacancy: 1

Start Date: As soon as possible

Language: must have good English speaking skills

Education: Secondary (High) school Graduate Certification or equivalent experience. Caregiver course will be an asset.

Experience: 7 to 12 months.

Wage: C$ 20.00/hour

Work Site Environment: Non-Smoking

Duties to perform

• Assist with daily living such as hygiene, grooming, toileting, bathing.        
• Keeping full care of sanitation and hygiene.
• Help in light physical activities, exercise and walking.
• Provide companionship by talking and help in socialization.
• Giving medicines in time as prescribed by the doctor.
• Assume full responsibility for household including laundry
• Prepare nutritious meals and special diets as prescribed by the doctor.
• May need to accompany the elderly to the doctor’s visit.
• Inform the employer if anything unusual is found in their behavior or talks.
• When unwell may have to help in feeding the elderly.
