Position Summary


Kami Japanese Restaurant is seeking a cook to join its team. The role requires preparing and cooking meals and dishes for customers as well as maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen.  We require someone who is comfortable cooking ethnic (Japanese) food.

Work Location: Unit 40 - 2215 160 Street, Surrey, BC V3S 9N6 


Salary: $21.00 per hour

Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma 


Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years

Additional Skills: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances

Specific Skills: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef, Plan menus, determine the size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies, Inspect kitchens and food service areas, Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food, Order supplies, and equipment, Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, Recruit and hire staff, Organize and manage buffets and banquets, Manage kitchen operations
