Education

High School graduate; graduates of culinary programs preferred but not essential

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook a wide variety of North American Cuisine
  • Preparation of sautéed items and their sauces
  • Preparation of fish, meat and poultry dishes, butchering these and preparation of appropriate sauces
  • Preparation of roasted and braised meats
  • Grilling and frying foods
  • Preparation of hot appetizers, pastas, soups and vegetables
  • Preparation of cold dishes
  • Set up and oversee buffets
  • Supervise kitchen helpers
  • Overseeing subordinate personnel in preparation, cooking and handling of food
  • Helping executive chef or executive sous chef in planning menus,
  • Ensuring quality of food
  • Clean kitchen and work area

 

Benefits:

As per regulations plus share on gratuities; overtime pay of 1.5 time hourly rate after 48 hours of work in a week
