Job Summary:

The Administrative Support Officer will be responsible of aiding in the coordination between different departments and performing administrative work related to collections. This person will need to show proficiency in leadership, decision-making, conflict resolution, problem-solving skills, time management, negotiation, effective communication, and teamwork.

Job Description and Duties:

  • Supervise office staff, prioritize and delegate work and ensure deadlines and targets are met

  • Administer requests for information as per access to information and privacy legislation

  • Perform general administrative work related to collections

  • Collect information and data from departments and clients

  • Schedule and confirm appointments and meetings with potential new clients

  • Determine and establish administrative procedures

  • Review, evaluate and implement new administrative procedures

  • Creating and maintaining a database of collection laws

  • Organize data and create periodic and special reports, manuals and correspondence

  • Assist in creation of operation budget and maintain inventory and budgetary controls

  • Coordinating and arranging for office services, such as equipment, supplies and forms

Terms of Employment: Permanent Full Time, Long Term

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week 

Wages:  $25.75 per hour 

Overtime: One and one-half times the regular wage rate as per provincial regulations. 

Benefits Package: 

  • Insurance from Workplace Safety and Insurance Board covered by employer.

  • Vacation pay as per provincial regulations will be paid each payday on a semi-monthly basis.

Anticipated Start Date of Employment:  As soon as possible

Education, Experience and Language Requirements:

  • Completion of Secondary School is required.

  • At least one year of related experience

  • Ability to communicate in English
