 Summary of Functions:

The Specialized Sales and Service (SSS) role is a multi-faceted role within LJ. This role requires intimate knowledge of:

  • Beckhoff PLC/HMI
  • EWM, Miller, ESAB, Lincoln – Welding Power sources
  • Servo Robot Laser Seam Tracking Systems
  • XIRIS vision systems

 

 

The SSS will coordinate and plan installations in the Americas, including site visits. The SSS will be the first contact of existing customers looking for technical sales, service issues, and other needs after the sale. In combination with the service of existing customers, the SSS will conduct sales (inbound/outbound) in the LATAM region. Fluency in Spanish will be considered an asset. The SSS must be able to prepare detailed technical proposals in Spanish for LJ customers in LATAM and other Spanish-speaking countries.

 

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

-        Identify and arranged meetings with prospective clients in the LATAM region

-        Prepare detailed technical proposals based on clients needs type and size of the industry

-        Recommend variations and prepare initial drawings based on clients type of industry, needs, or size of business

-        Follow up periodically with existing clients to support them with repairs, replacement of growth needs

-        Prepare costs and participate in negotiations of new contracts and provide existing clients with quotes, including all labor and parts costs, for the repair of their equipment

-        Communicate with customers’ remotely to troubleshoot equipment issues, provide training and address general inquiries

-        Manage the team of Field Service Technicians

-        Lead and train new team members/apprentices

-        Coordinate equipment installations/service

-        Read and interpret drawings and schematics

Qualifications:

High School Diploma, Millwright and/or Electrical Certification and/or Experience with mechanical, electric, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC systems, Experience in metal work (welding, cutting, machining, fabrication), Experience with industrial machinery: rigging, installation, alignment and levelling, Experience with forklift and overhead crane operation, Experience with Microsoft suite , Skilled in the use and care of a variety of hand and power tools, precision measuring and testing equipment, 21 years of age with a valid Class 5 driver’s license, Fluent in English and fluency in Spanish is considered an asset, Experience in technical sales in welding automation

Physical Demands:

Ability to lift 50 lbs

Use of safety equipment may be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, hearing protection, respirators etc.
