Carpenters

To meet the demands of our rapidly growing base of satisfied customers, Avalanche Exteriors Ltd. located at 11880 Middleton Rd, Lake Country, BC V4V 1G9, is looking for 4 experienced Carpenters to join our busy team. Ideal candidate has minimum 1-2 years of experience in the construction industry, completing work for both residential and commercial properties.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements

• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools

• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials

• Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moulding and hardware

• Maintain, repair and renovate residences 

• Be detail and quality oriented

• Must have good work ethic and a willingness to learn

Education: 

• Completion of secondary school is required.

• Completion of a three- to four-year apprenticeship program
  or
  A combination of over four years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in carpentry is beneficial

• Red Seal is an asset

Full time, Permanent position

Salary: $30.00 /hour 40 hour work week

Start date: ASAP
