Food Service Supervisor

We offer:

C$17.00/hr (30-40hrs/wk) depending on experience with 4% paid vacation.

Meal allowances: Any staff who works 4 hours in a day will be entitled to one free meal and a drink of any items on our menu.  Any staff who works a full-time shift of 8 hours will be entitled to two free meals and a drink. 

Other benefits: Year End/Christmas Bonus.

Job Requirement:

• Completion of secondary school.
• 1-2 years of experience in food preparation or service.
• Must have an open schedule and be able to work on the weekend
• Ability to work well in a stressful and fast-paced environment.

Job Duties:

• Schedule, supervise the working schedule and distribute tasks for employees.
• Involve in ordering and receiving ingredients and equipment required for meal preparation
• Ensure good food service and quality control within the kitchen.
• Conduct training programs in job duties, safety procedures, and sanitation, especially Covid-19 protocol.
• Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality or service.
• Resolve personnel problems when necessary, help managers develop an effective work schedule for labor costs.
• Maintain weekly and monthly cost reports, wastage, labour and stock reports.
• Control, maintain, and organize the kitchen's inventory record, storage, and distribution.
• Prepare food order summaries for chef/ cooks.
• Plans or participates in planning menus, preparing and apportioning foods, utilizing food surpluses and leftovers.
