Wage Rate and hours: $27.50 per hour, 35-40 hours per week

Start date: as soon as possible

Job Location: various locations across Lower Mainland Area, BC.

Work area: Industrial and residential construction and renovation

Education: not required

Experience: 1-2 years of related experienceas a Carpenter is required.

Job duties:

• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
• Fit and install doors, stairs, moulding and hardware
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures as per job requirement
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawing and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes using measuring tools

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: bending, crouching, kneeling, physically demanding, combination of sitting, standing, walking

Additional Skills: Read and interpret maps, blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
