Royal Child Care (Sea Star Education Ltd.) located in Richmond providing childcare service to local residents. We are currently looking for Full-Time certified Early Childhood Education Worker to meet the needs of children in our center.            

 

 

Job Title: Early Childhood Education Worker

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: $19.00 to $21.00 per hour

Working hours: 30-40 hours per week

Benefit: 4% vacation pay, Relocation costs covered by employer and, plus an additional $4.00 per hour as part of British Columbia’s Early Childhood Educator Wage Enhancement

 

Job requirements

 

Languages

English

Education

Completion of a two-to four-year college program in Early Childhood Education or a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development is required

Experience

Previous work experience as an Early Childhood Education worker would be a good asset, but not a mandatory requirement;

Job Duties:

 

  • Carry out child-care program and activities that support and promote development of children;
  • Lead activities and individualize the curriculum according to planned childcare programs to promote children’s creativity and interests;
  • Maintain and ensure the child’s environment is healthy and safe;
  • Observe and track the abilities, interests and needs of each child and report to the parents/guardian and program supervisor;
  • Guide children with dressing, eating and toilet habits;
  • Maintain positive working relationship with other Early Childhood Education Workers and community service workers;
  • Attend staff meeting to discuss progress or problems of the children;
  • Supervise Early Childhood Educator Assistants.
