Job Description:

1. Menu Management and Quality Control

  • Plans and creates menus and ensure food meets quality standards
  • Creates new recipes with fusion of Filipino, Japanese and North American food and pastries for diverse marketability
  • Improves existing food recipes targeting a wider customer base

 

2. Inventory and Purchase Management (Food and Non-Food)

  • Estimates food requirements
  • Manages the cost of goods for pricing of food and lifestyle items
  • Exploring third-party vendors for the most cost-effective stocking of food inventories and other non-food requirements
  • Sourcing of vendors for lifestyle items and accessories
  • Arranges for equipment and supplies requirements and maintenance
  • Consults with fabrication machinists for the various equipment requirements

 

3. Caf Operations

  • Monitors Sales for the café and lifestyle items
  • Responsible for “thinking out of the box” for new ways of working for operational efficiency
  • Recruits and hire staff
  • Provides training to new hires and continuously demonstrates new cooking techniques to existing staff
  • Supervises activities of staff including shift schedules and performance evaluation
  • Manages payroll of employees
  • Manages customer service and expectations including customer feedback

 

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 6-10 years of experience in the food service sector, including supervisory experience, are required.
  • Minimum 6-10 years of experience in creating food menu and inventing new recipes that would cater to a more diverse client-based market including Filipino, Japanese, and North American fusion food and pastries, to name a few
  • Minimum 6-10 years of operating and managing a food and pastry business
  • Minimum of 6-10 years of experience in recruiting and supervising of staff members and training staff in cooking and serving techniques
  • Experience in using point of sale terminals and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to understand and speak in the Filipino language is an asset
  • Exposure in varied cultures in terms of food and pastries; being well-versed with the Filipino culture is an asset.
  • Ability to stand for an extended period and ability to lift at least 20 pounds

 

Educational Requirements:

  • Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in food-related programs (Nutrition and Dietetics, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Food Technology, etc).
