Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and results-driven Marketing Specialist to spearhead our marketing efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital marketing, content creation, and social media management. You will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that will increase brand awareness, drive traffic to our website, and generate leads.
This position will also involve regular visits to our different branches across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) to coordinate marketing activities, capture on-site content, and ensure consistent brand presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies and promotional plans to enhance Ali Travel’s brand presence and promote travel packages across domestic and international markets.
- Assess customer preferences, market characteristics, and travel industry trends to determine marketing and advertising needs.
- Create, manage, and optimize digital marketing campaigns across channels such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and XiaoHongShu/RED.
- Manage and grow the company’s social media presence, including content planning, posting, community engagement, and review/feedback management.
- Develop and maintain the company’s websites, ensuring content is current, accurate, visually appealing, SEO-optimized, and driving customer conversions.
- Create engaging marketing content including blog articles, newsletters, brochures, YouTube scripts, visual assets, and promotional materials.
- Analyze competitor activities, market trends, and customer data to identify growth opportunities and support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with the sales team to design and execute promotional campaigns that drive customer inquiries, bookings, and sales conversions.
- Plan and execute email marketing campaigns, including audience segmentation, automation, and content development.
10. Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for all marketing and advertising campaigns, using dashboards to monitor performance and optimize digital strategies.
11. Coordinate with external vendors, influencers, media partners, and marketing agencies to support major campaigns and promotional activities.
12. Organize and support promotional events, online seminars, livestreams, travel information sessions, and client engagement activities.
13. Prepare reports, briefs, presentations, and market analysis documents for internal management review.
14. Monitor customer reviews, testimonials, and public perception across social media and online platforms, and support public relations activities as needed.
15. Data Analysis & Market Insights
Conduct detailed data analysis, customer segmentation, and market profiling to inform targeted marketing strategies and campaign planning.
16. KOL/KOC Collaboration Management
Plan, execute, and manage influencer (KOL/KOC) collaborations, ensuring content alignment, campaign quality, and ROI evaluation.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Language:
- Proficiency in English is required.
- Ability to read and write in Chinese is important (but not mandatory), as much of our marketing content, social media posts, and customer engagement on platforms such as XiaoHongShu/RED are in Chinese. The candidate must be able to effectively understand, manage, and create or review Chinese-language content—either directly or with the assistance of appropriate tools—to perform the required duties.
- Education:
- Minimum college diploma in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Business, or a related field.
- Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in a marketing specialist, digital marketing, content marketing, or similar role within advertising, marketing, or media industries.
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-platform digital marketing campaigns.
- Digital Marketing Skills:
- Strong proficiency with XiaoHongShu (RED), YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and other social media channels.
- Experience with social media content development, audience engagement, and performance analytics.
- Familiarity with SEO, email marketing tools, and web content management systems (CMS) is an asset.
- Proficiency in marketing data analysis, including tracking KPIs, analyzing campaign performance, and generating actionable insights to optimize marketing strategies.
- Content Creation Skills:
- Strong writing, proofreading, and communication skills for preparing blogs, newsletters, and promotional materials.
- Ability to create or coordinate marketing content; basic graphic design or video editing skills are considered a plus.
- Additional Skills:
- Strong creativity and ability to generate original ideas for travel marketing campaigns.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Experience in travel marketing or the tourism industry, particularly with cross-market exposure in North America and Asia, is an asset.
