ABOUT THE ROLE

Maysfield Appliance requires an experienced Electronic Service Technician who will be responsible for the diagnosis and repair of various appliance electronics boards. This is a very demanding position, and we are looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual who is able to work in the team environment and possess the ability to work alone with minimal supervision. The position requires demonstrated knowledge of electronic repair techniques and associated diagnostic repair equipment (knowledge of appliance electronics control boards).

 JOB REQUIREMENTS

Language: English (required)

Education: Completion of a two- to three-year college program in electronics or completion of a four-year apprenticeship program in electronic servicing and repair or completion of high school or college courses in electronics and on-the-job training is required.

Work experience:

Minimum of 1-year work experience (required). More experience will be preferred. Additional training will be provided at the job.

Wages: $36.00/hour, plus bonus pays

 Job duties and required skills:

  • Installing and repairing the equipment
  • Aligning and calibrating cables and wires
  • Estimating damage and calculating the cost of replacement materials
  • Liaising with supervisors and customers to discuss repair schedules and time
  • Troubleshooting equipment and repair malfunctional
  • Updating all repair and parts databases and maintaining records for inventory control
  • Reading complex manuals and diagrams
  • Setting up the systems and devices
  • Testing system functionality and analyzing data
  • Ensuring all power and manual tools are used in accordance with safety manuals
  • Perform other tasks as assigned or required by the Operations Manager

Organizational skills:

  • Capability to organize and sort several types of material at a time
  • Skilled to record and maintain accurate records
  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines with flexibility, and multi-task with minimal direction
  • Must work well with others and represent company in a professional manner
