Job Duties:
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials,
• Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes, Load and unload goods,
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo,
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle,
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Perform brake adjustments,
• Perform emergency roadside repairs,
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.)
Driver's License - (Class 1 or A) or Equivalent License Required
Additional Requirements:
• Attention to detail,
• Large workload,
• Repetitive tasks,
• Overtime required
Other Benefits:
• As per Employment Standards Act,
• 10 days paid vacation in a year or 4 % Gross Salary
• Over time after 40 hours/week
