Job requirements

Languages: English

Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma

Experience: Will be trained

Own Tools/Equipment, Cellular phone

Transportation/Travel Information: Travel expenses paid by the employer, Willing to travel overnight

Documentation Knowledge: Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Accident or incident reports, Trip reports, Maintenance and repair reports, Bill of lading, Driver logbook

Specific Skills: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Receive and relay information to central dispatch, Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Perform brake adjustments

Transportation/Travel Experience: Provincial/territorial, Long-haul, Regional

Type of Trucking and Equipment: Dry bulk, Flatbed, Refrigerated, Tractor-trailer
