Job requirements

Languages: English

Education: No degree, certificate or diploma

Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling, Hand-eye co-ordination

Work Location Information: Various locations

Work Site Environment: Odours, Dusty

Personal Suitability: Organized

Additional Skills: Prepare flooring plans and scheduling, Read, and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications, Estimate costs and materials

Installation Specialization: Vinyl or resilient tiles, Vinyl or resilient sheets, Ceramic tiles, Marble tiles, Hardwood strip flooring, Hardwood intricate patterns flooring, Carpets/rugs

Specific Skills: Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered, Measure, cut and fasten underlay and underpadding, Measure, cut and install carpeting on floors, Measure, cut and install resilient floor coverings, Prepare and install hardwood floors, Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings, prepare floors for installations, Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants, Perform double-bond carpet installations, Install vinyl decking materials
