Job requirements

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience: 2-3 years of experience

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Standing for extended periods, Work under pressure, Attention to detail

Personal Suitability: Excellent oral communication, Team player, Organized, Initiative, Client focus, Reliability

Additional Skills: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances

Work Setting: Restaurant, Bar

Specific Skills:

ï‚· Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods,

ï‚· Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies,

ï‚· Inspect kitchens and food service areas,

ï‚· Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food,

ï‚· Order supplies and equipment,

ï‚· Supervise kitchen staff and helpers,

ï‚· Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment,

ï‚· Clean kitchen and work areas,

ï‚· Recruit and hire staff,

ï‚· Manage kitchen operations
