Job requirements

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Ability to Supervise: 3-4 people

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, Handling heavy loads, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Attention to detail

Personal Suitability:  Excellent oral communication, Client focus, Team player, Reliability

Work Setting: Retail business

Workers Supervised: Retail salespersons and sales clerks

Specific Skills

• Assign sales workers to duties,
• Authorize payments by cheque,
• Authorize return of merchandise,
• Sell merchandise,
• Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters,
• Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers,
• Resolve problems that arise, such as customer complaints and supply shortages,
• Organize and maintain inventory
