Position Title: Food Service Supervisor

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Estimated Starting Date: As Soon As Possible

Position Available: 1

Wage: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour (Depending on Working Experience)

Working Hours: 30 hours per week (including early morning)

Benefit: 2 weeks paid vacation or 4 % vacation pay + tips

Job Duties:

• Supervise food-handling staff to ensure that regulatory and store standards, including customer and food service, are met;
• Train food-handling staff in responsibilities, store policies, health and safety standards, and sanitization;
• Provide professional customer service and ensures that drink and baked goods and service meet quality standards;
• Build constructive relationships and establishes positive communication among all food-handling staff;
• Maintain proper coverage and food-handling staff schedules to prevent labour shortage or surplus while adhering to meal and break policy;
• Conduct inventory management and records stock, repairs and wastage as required in the production, preparation, and presentation.

Qualifications:

• Completion of secondary school is required;
• Completion of a community college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or related discipline OR several years of experience in food preparation or service are required;
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment;
• Effective oral and written communication skills;
• Combination of sitting, standing and walking is required.
