Job Description:

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
• Maintain inventory and records of food and supplies and equipment.
• Plan menus and determine size of food portions.
• Estimate food requirements and costs and order stock and food supplies.
• May cook custom orders for customers with food allergies.
• Hire and train kitchen staff.
• Supervise kitchen staff members.
• Prepare and cook special meals as instructed by chef.
• Clean and organize kitchen and work stations.
• Manage kitchen operations.

Employment Requirements:

Completion of Secondary School

1 – 2 years of related work experience required
