JOB DUTIES. The following duties will be performed in this position:
- Operate multi-function process control machinery to grind, extract, mix, blend, distill, ferment, and otherwise process beer and to bottle, can, and otherwise package beer
- Observe gauges, computer printouts, and video monitors to verify specified processing conditions and make adjustments to process variables such as cooking times, ingredient inputs, flow rates, and temperature settings
- Clean and maintain brewing equipment
- Maintain shift log of production and other data
- Operate brewhouse and take responsibility for all aspects of production/brewing
- Operate forklifts
- Provide customers with an excellent beer experience
REQUIREMENTS. The successful applicant will possess, at a minimum, the following skills and experience:
- Completion of secondary school
- Familiarity with brewery operations
- Some experience in the food/beverage industry is preferred
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Passion for craft beer
- Mechanically inclined, with strong motor skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and time constraints
- Willingness to learn and to work in a team environment
- Organized, with attention to detail
- Respectful style of communication
