Position Offered: Truck Driver

This is a full-time position based in Brampton, Ontario

We are carrier for hire and our business started in 1999. We are looking to add good reliable dependable AZ drivers to our fleet to continue to grow our successful delivery operation. All of our equipment is up to date and less than 6 years old, so you can count on a smooth, dependable ride! We offer permanent full-time jobs with very competitive pay.

Hours per week: 44 hrs/week -overnight shifts in a truck equipped with a sleeper cabin

Wage/Salary: 24.50

Duties:

  • Operate truck with three or more axles to transport materials and goods
  • Oversee and assess all aspects of vehicle including condition of equipment, loading and unloading of cargo, safety and security of cargo, ability to proceed with route
  • Pre-trip inspections of vehicle including brakes, tires, lights, cold-storage and other related equipment
  • Emergency roadside repairs if necessary
  • Keep records of cargo information, distance travelled, fuel consumption, any information related to route that is required by employer
  • Communicate with dispatcher and other drivers using radio, phone or computer technology as required

Qualifications

Completion of secondary school and at least 3 years of experience as a truck driver. An AZ class license is required.
