Job Duties:
• Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed
• Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material according to measurements
• Build house frames, door frames, doors and frame cupboards and cabinets by using raw materials or pre-constructed items
• Carve and assemble frames, door items and install them where designated
• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements
• Matches materials for color, grain or texture
• Install hardware such as hinges, catches and drawer pulls
• Supervise apprentice and prepare cost estimates for the supervisor
• Maintain repair and renovate interiors as required

Job Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school
• Experience 1 to 2 years
• Communication skills in English, oral and written

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Physically demanding requires significant standing, walking, moving, carrying, bending and kneeling. Ability to lift 50 lbs.
