Food service supervisor

Role Description

• Check staff punctuality and monitor staff performance
• Supervise staff performance; assign duties; explain responsibilities; and handle work stations when necessary
• Follows standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating and storing products
• Maintain clean store and assign tasks in accordance with the daily checklists and cleaning standards
• May develop policies and procedures for operation of services
• Supervise coordinate and schedule the activities of staff who prepare, portion and serve food
• Establish work schedules, supervise and coordinate assigned shifts
• Work closely with Chef to prepare food order summaries
• May participate in menu selection and assist in budgets preparation and labor costs
• Provides advice and may oversee standardization of recipes, menu preparation, portion, cost and waste control
• Balance cash and complete sheets, cash reports, reconciliation and related forms
• Maintains records and provides data for planning and control of operating budgets
• Orders food and non-food supplies, checks deliveries and maintains inventory records
• Receive stocks and do weekly inventory
• Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys
• Understands and adheres to all quality standards, formulas and procedures as per the company’s standards
• Participates in development of sanitation, security and safety standards and ensures implementation of standards are established
• Perform same duties as workers supervised, if required

Role Eligibility

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required
• Minimum 1 to 2 years of food service management experience, preferably in a multi-unit environment
• Ability to adapt and succeed in a fast paced environment
• Ability to supervise 3-4 people
• Must be self-motivated and guest focused oriented.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English fluently
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure and deal with stressful situations

Salary & hours

$16.50 per hour for 40 hours a week
