Job Descriptions:
• Prepare soil for planting, and plant or transplant seeds, bulbs, and cuttings.
• Apply pesticides and fertilizers to plants.
• Identify plants with problems such as diseases, weeds, and insect pests.
• Cut and prune trees, shrubs, flowers, and plants.
• Tour work areas to inspect crops and to evaluate plant and soil conditions.
• Position and regulate plant irrigation systems.
• Plant, spray, weed, fertilize, and water plants, shrubs, and trees, using hand tools and gardening tools.
• Maintain inventories of materials, equipment, or products.
• Operate farming equipment.
• Keep the work area clean.

Job Requirements:
• No formal education required.
• Experience is an asset; however, on-the-job training will be provided.
