Job Description

Great Mann Construction Ltd. is a fast-growing construction company based in Delta, BC operating all over Lower Mainland, Greater Vancouver and Fraser Valley. We have employment opportunity for 02 Concrete finishers.

Job Duties

·         Pour, level, Smooth and finish concrete in residential and commercial buildings

·         Install, maintain and restore structures such as foundations, floors, and patios

·         Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials and direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade

·         Align forms to desired depth and pitch

·         Read schematics, drawings, and construction plans, and interpret them to determine how to complete concrete jobs

·         Fill hollows and remove high spots to smooth freshly poured concrete

·         Level top surface of concrete according to grade and depth specifications

·         Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools

·         Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete

·         Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure surface of concrete

·         Waterproof, damp-proof and restore concrete surfaces

·         Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of floors, walls, sidewalks and other concrete structures

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Large workload, Physically demanding, Combination of sitting, standing, walking

Work Site Environment: At heights, Noisy, Dusty

Major Work Area: Construction, Renovation

Job Requirements

• Completion of secondary school is required.

• 3-4 years of experience in the trade is required or 3-4 years of apprenticeship program in the trade.

• Candidates should be able to lift weight (50lbs), should be willing to work outdoors, indoors, rain or shine.

• Basic English is a requirement too.

Benefits

·         As per mutual agreement and BC Employment standards act 4% vacation pay of the gross salary will be paid each pay period with 10 days of unpaid vacation time or option to choose 10 days of paid vacation with no vacation pay with gross salary.

·         Relocation expenses will be paid by employer for the candidates willing to travel from any part of Canada. We will also help in finding affordable accommodation nearby. Free of cost pick up from Airport for candidate moving from any part of Canada.

·         Transportation to and from the job location is provided at free of cost in company vehicle.
