Crane Operator

JOB POSITION: Crane Operator (NOC 7371)

Employer details: Goodrich Transport Ltd., Surrey (BC)  

Location: 9985 Grace Road, Surrey (BC) V3V 3V7

Salary: CDN $30/hr for 40 hours a week

Terms of employment: Permanent / Full time

Start date: As soon as possible.

Job requirements: -

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate OR Equivalent Experience

Experience: 1 year to 2 years

Job Duties:

• Operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position or place equipment and materials
• Perform pre-operational inspection, and calculate crane capacities and weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting
• Operate gantry cranes to load and unload ship cargo at port side
• Operate locomotive cranes to move objects and materials at railway yards
• Operate overhead cranes to lift, move and place plant machinery and materials
• Operate offshore oil rig cranes to unload and reload supply vessels
• Perform routine maintenance work such as cleaning and lubricating cranes

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure; Manual dexterity; Attention to detail; Hand-eye-coordination; sound discrimination; sitting

Additional Skills: Clean and lubricate cranes

Types of Cranes: Hydraulic or telescopic cranes

Specific Skills: Perform pre-operational inspection;
