Job Description

• Read circuit diagrams and electrical codes to determine wiring layouts for new installations and to understand the existing installations.
• Splicing, joining, connecting and pulling wires through walls and holes to form circuits.
• Install fixture such as hangers to support electrical equipment.
• Install, repair and replace fixtures, switches, circuit breakers and other equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues by using appropriate equipments and repair electrical issues by replacing or installing components, wiring or devices
• Inspecting the electrical systems and equipment for identifying the defects and hazards that are required for repairing or adjusting.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and government safety requirements
• Take certain preventive maintenance steps to ensure proper functioning of the electrical devices.
• Install and connect electrical power equipments for signalling to prevent hazards.

Requirements:

• Completion of High School
• Post Secondary Education and/or minimum of 1-year experience in the field.
