Major Work Area several years experience and be very comfortable grooming all breeds of dogs.

Duties:
- Shampoo, clip and groom animals
- Discussing clients' requests about how they want their dog to be groomed
- Transporting dogs between kennels and grooming areas
- Clipping nails
- Cleaning ears
- Giving baths to dogs and choosing specialized soaps and shampoos
- Applying flea treatments
- Drying and brushing coats of fur or hair
- Brushing or cleaning their teeth
- Trimming and shaping their fur in a variety of styles
- Preparing dogs for shows
- Boarding dogs for a few hours or overnight as needed
- Feeding dogs or giving them treats
- Making sure that dogs have plenty of water
- Taking dogs for short walks and cleaning up after them when needed
- Disinfecting tools and work areas
