Job Description

Saba Construction is a leading single-family home, luxury custom homes and multi-family homes builder and developer in British Columbia. We have employment opportunity for 02 Construction supervisors.

Job duties

• Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of construction workers engaged in construction of single family homes, luxury custom homes and multi-family homes
• Assess contractors, workers, and labourers work performance, including quality, safety, and workload management while taking corrective actions as necessary
• Participate in meetings with contractors to provide feedback and problem solve issues
• Communicating to city’s by law officers, WCB inspectors on the site, providing them report of work on the site
• Participate in constructability and estimate reviews
• Develop subject matter expert knowledge in one or more areas of field construction and utilize that knowledge to support the team
• Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other subcontractors
• Negotiating contracts with vendors, contractors and sub-contractors
• Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
• Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
• Requisition materials and supplies
• Train workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies
• Recommend personnel actions such as hirings and promotions
• Prepare work progress reports
• Manage the operations of the company
• Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of related helpers and labourers
• May perform the same duties as team when required

Employment requirements

• Completion of secondary school is required.

• 3-4 years of experience in the residential or commercial construction trade are required.

• Good communication skills in English are required.

• Ability to supervise and instruct team of 10 or more people.

Benefits

As per mutual agreement and BC Employment standards act 4% vacation pay of the gross salary will be paid each pay period with 10 days of unpaid vacation time or option to choose 10 days of paid vacation with no vacation pay with gross salary. Transportation to and from the job location is provided at free of cost in company vehicle.
