Early Childhood Educator Assistant
First Choice Montessori Pre-School is a meticulously designed Pre-school and Kindergarten program. We educate our students through the use of Montessori Materials and provide them with a strong foundation to take to elementary school. We focus on a structured learning environment, using an academic focus while incorporating fun, and playful activities to keep our students both engaged, and excited about learning. We specialize in creating a personalized learning plan for each child, focusing on the students’ strengths and weaknesses to maximize improvement and stimulate growth.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated, dedicated, passionate Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join us as soon as possible. At this position, the candidate will be working alongside a team of early childhood educators, therefore the ability to work well collaboratively is important.

Job Responsibilities
- Assist early childhood educators in different programs that promote physical, mental, cognitive, and social development of children.
- Attend to children’s physical needs for eating and sleeping, dressing, diapering, and toileting.
- Observe children behavior and assist early childhood educators in maintaining records.
- Organize space, equipment, and materials prior to activities.
- Maintain an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence.
- Implement the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the First Choice Montessori curriculum and programming such as telling stories, preparing crafts etc.
- Assist in housekeeping and cooking duties as well as maintain daycare equipment’s as needed.
- Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings.
- Ensure a healthy and safe environment for children.
Qualifications
- Completion of secondary school.
- Minimum 6 months of experience in childcare.
- Strong organizational, planning and communication skills.
