Toronto Central Academy (TCA) is an accredited, ministry-inspected high school offering approved OSSD courses to students from Canada and overseas.

TCA was founded with the ambitious goal of providing young people with an enjoyable, rigorous learning experience. Since first opening our doors in 1997, we have developed and grown in our ability to provide students with a solid foundation of knowledge and skills to prepare them for success. Throughout the grades, our focus is to help students to develop self-awareness, decision-making strategies, and problem-solving skills which will enable them to make wise choices for their futures.

TCA is looking for a marketing coordinator with more than six years of experience in international education and marketing to grow our global market. The marketing coordinator promotes on-brand messaging to customers through traditional, digital, and social media channels to enhance the recruiting networking of the TCA, locally and internationally.

Responsibilities

As a marketing coordinator, the employee is required to perform the following duties and undertake the following responsibilities in a professional manner for the purpose of promoting the school, locally and internationally.

  • Implementing marketing and advertising campaigns by assembling and analyzing recruitment forecasts; preparing marketing and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives; planning and organizing promotional presentations.
  • Tracking recruitment data and costs by analyzing and entering recruitment data, expenses, and new projected recruitment data.
  • Preparing marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales and recruitment data.
  • Keeping promotional materials ready by coordinating requirements with the graphics department; inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipts.
  • Ensuring that the school has an outreach program that widens the school’s network and positive relationships and reputation in the local and international community.
  • Building strong local and international recruiting network communities through social media and education fairs.
  • Supporting associated recruitment agents by providing information regarding student recruitment trends, forecasts, up-to-date information about the employer’s educational services, relaying service requests from parents and agents to the employer.
  • Researching the competition by identifying and evaluating their characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising strategies; maintaining research databases.
  • Planning meetings and participating at agent and student fairs; establishing education-related contacts and agent networks in the international student marketplace.
  • Monitoring budgets to make efficient use of funds allocated to marketing.
  • Building good relations with university admission and recruiting staff to help to promote school branding.
  • Conducting info sessions and webinars to promote school branding.
  • Fostering school partnership relations internationally.
  • Managing all social media channels to increase our online presence and reach
  • Leading in the development and execution of demand generation campaigns including, ads, email, SEO, and social media.
  • Overseeing the creation, maintenance, and optimization of school websites.
  • Overseeing the planning and creation of effective email marketing programs including updating and optimizing existing workflows, emails, and copy.
  • Leading the marketing team with a personal focus on the East Asian market.
  • Developing, executing, and optimizing content and campaigns (blogs & social).
  • Planning, promoting, and participating in marketing events such as school sports activities, university tours, conferences, education fairs, and seminars.
  • Other related activities promote school branding and recruiting.

 

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, and related fields.
  • Minimum 6 years of marketing and /or management experience in international education sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing relations with international students, parents, and students' agents.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and excellent teamwork spirit.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm focus during hectic periods
  • Strong  social media content creation knowledge and skills
  • Experience with various social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, WeChat, Weibo, RED, and TikTok.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Digital Marketing Knowledge (SEO, SEA, PPC, Content Marketing, Data Analytics, CRM software).
  • Demonstrated competency with the Adobe Suite (or equivalent) of software.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and presenting marketing strategies

Specific requirement

  • Ability to travel abroad for international education fairs, as required.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $32 – $35 per hour

Work hours and Schedule:  

The total work hour is 30 hours per week. The regular work schedule is 9 am-5 pm from Monday to Friday. However, marketing coordinators need to flexibly allocate their work schedules to meet the needs of school promotion, such as participating in after-school events, attending the weekend/ evening workshops, etc.

Benefits

The employer shall, at its expense, provide the employee with the Health Plan that is currently in place.

Vacation

Two weeks of vacation per year.  The employee shall be entitled to vacation pay based on government policy.
