Start Date of Employment (Approx.): As soon as possible.

 

Wages: $25.00 per hour, 40 hours per week.

 

Benefits:  4% Vacation pay

 

Work Location: Unit# 160-8047 Scott Road, Delta BC V4C 1L2

 

Eligibility:

• Education: High School Graduation Certificate
• Experience: 1 to less than 2 years of previous related experience
• Language: English

 

Job Duties:

• Prepare and cook individual Indian sweet dishes like Burfi, Gulab Jamun, Jalebi, Laddoo, Rasgulla etc.
• Plan menus, ensure the quality of sweet dishes and determine the size of dish proportions.
• Estimate sweets requirements and costs
• Draw up production schedule to determine type and quantity of goods to produce to minimize wastage
• Supervise kitchen helpers
• May oversee sales and merchandising of sweets
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
• Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of sweets
• Able to make huge quantity of sweets for catering

Fast-paced environment, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Standing for extended periods
