Role:  The Sales position is responsible for working with contractors and DIY customers to fulfill their building material needs, coordinate deliveries and special orders.

Responsibilities:

 

All duties of a Sales Associate

Opening and closing of the store.

Creating special orders.

House takeoffs and quotes.

Arranging for customer deliveries.

Business development and customer retention

Creating quotes with special order items, such as windows, siding, decking

Placing orders with suppliers

Ensuring deliveries are on schedule with the Lumber Yard Manager

Work with vendors on new products and training sessions for staff.

Reviewing quotes and ensuring sales associates are making follow up calls.

Assist with putting out stock.

Inventory counts

Keep work area clean and organized.

Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Knowledge of lumber, building materials, trusses, decks, fences, engineered floor systems, windows, doors, siding, drywall, flooring, roofing, plumbing, electrical, paint.

Capable of working in a fast paced environment.

A commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction.

Excellent communication skills, organizational ability, high attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.

A working knowledge of computers.

Ability to stand for extended periods

Ability to lift 50lbs frequently

Able to work a flexible schedule
