Ikon Insulation Ltd.  located at 143 Street, Surrey, BC is currently hiring for 1 Insulator to join their construction company as soon as possible.

Job Title: Insulator

Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Vacancy: 1

Wage Rate and hours: $29 per hour, 40 hours per week

Start date: as soon as possible

Job Location: Various locations across Lower Mainland, Fraser valley, Greater Vancouver area

Work setting: Residential, Commercial

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding, bending, crouching, kneeling

Language: English

Education: not required.

Experience: 1 to 2 years of related experience is required. Candidates with completion of related apprenticeship program can be considered as well.

Job duties:

•Measure and cut insulation materials to required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools

•Attend safety meetings

•Follow COVID-19 safety instructions as guided by Federal and provincial laws such as maintaining physical distancing.

•Ensure propre storage of construction materials at the end of each shift

•Perform job as per city codes and project requirements

•determine insulation requirements and select type of insulation required as per city code and project requirements

•Seal windows, doors using rod and caulk

•Identify type of insulation required by local building codes

•Apply and secure insulation using spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping and other application and installation methods

•Fit insulation around obstructions and between studs and joists

•Brush waterproofing cement or other material over insulating materials

•Install vapour barriers and fire stop materials
