Glass Cutter

Jmar Glass is looking for One (1) full time Glass Cutter (NOC 9413) to join our positive, hard-working team.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent.

Education: Not required, however High School would be an asset.

Language: Basic English

Experience: 1 year of relevant experience.

Salary: $18.30per hour, 40 hours a week.

Benefits: As per BC employment standards act + 4% Vacation pay on each schedule pay cheque.

Duties to be performed.

• Marking on glasses and can get best cut from defective glasses.
• Place pattern on or under glass for cutting.
• Ensure that safety standards and departmental policies are met
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Smooth rough edges using belt sander or smoothing wheels
• Position and secure panes in frame
• Determine type of glass, frames and material required
• Attention to detail, measure, mark and cut glass as per the instructions provided by Supervisor.

Work environment:

• Handling heavy loads
• Physically demanding
• Standing for extended periods
• Bending, crouching, kneeling
