Position: Office Administrative assistant

Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Wage Rate and hours: $25 per hour, 32.5 hours

Start date: as soon as possible

Job Location: office located at unit 207, 12639 80 avenue Surrey BC V3W 3A6

Language: English

Education: completion of secondary school is required

Experience: 7-12 months of related experience is required. Applicants who have completed a college program in the related filed will be considered even if they do not have any experience.

Job duties:

 

  • Maintain and organize material orders and invoices from suppliers
  • Maintain material and labour cost reports for each job
  • schedule and confirm appointments and meetings of the employer and various tradespersons employed with the company
  • Greet and direct visitors to appropriate person
  • Maintain manual and computerized information files
  • Answer telephone and emails and forwards them accordingly
  • Order office supplies and maintain inventory
  • Open, organize and distribute incoming regular and electronic mail and other materials
  • Co-ordinate the flow of information internally and with others such as sub-contractors, construction materials suppliers, accountant etc.
  • Prepare, key in, edit and proofread correspondence, invoices and other materials

Work conditions and Physical Capabilities: attention to detail, repetitive tasks

Additional Skills: Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint
