Electrical Technician

Martin W. Electrical Ltd. is a private, medium-size electrical contractor engaged primarily in new construction and renovation for residential, commercial, and industry.
We work mainly in Edmonton and surrounded area, with area offices located around Alberta, including Cold Lake, Fort McMurray, Hinton, etc.

Job Details:

• Title: Electrical Technician
• Type: Permanent, Full Time
• Wage: $38.00/hour
• Hours: 40 hours/week
• Work Location: 1671 Tomlinson Common NW Edmonton AB T6R 3E2

Job Descriptions:

• Assist in diagnosing and correcting problems on the simulators and associated simulator systems.
• Assist in building and testing prototypes to specifications.
• Prepares for work projects by performing operational and safety risk assessments. 
• Install electrical wiring and equipment; Alters and repair circuits, equipment, and appliances.
• Carry out a limited range of technical functions in support of research in electrical and electronic engineering and physics.
• Provide technical support, advice, coordination, and assistance with regard to emerging work, projects, and daily routines, including the development of technical/operational solutions to problems.
• Provide electrical services to new and used equipment, including the power feed cabling, and electrical protection equipment in compliance with ESA rules and regulations.
• Work on assigned daily lineup following work orders and instructions.
• Participate in project-specific work as required.

Job Qualifications:

• Completion of an Electrical Bachelor’s Degree is required
• At least one-year working experience in a related field
• Basic knowledge of electronics and electrical systems, as well as technology in general.
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
