Start Date of Employment (Approx.): As soon as possible

Wage Rate: $18/hour (for 40 hours/week)

Benefits: 4% Vacation Pay.

Benefits will be according to BC Employment Standards Act.

Skill Requirements:

• Completion of Secondary school is required.

• 2- 3 years of experience in food preparation or service are required.

Or

Completion of a community college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or related discipline.

Main Duties:

• Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of staff who prepare and serve food.

• Helps maintain standards for product quality, service and speed, quality and cleanliness.

• Assist in selection of food service staff and development of budgets

• Controls labour hours and cash flow while on shift.

• Helps to maintain records for safety.

• Develop and coordinate requirements of nutritional value and ingredient

labels to food products produced in house;

• Develop new and improve existing methods to meet production and

demand schedules;

• Train staff in job duties, and sanitation and safety procedures.

• Assist in budget development of specific products costing and pricing to

differing levels.

• May hiring new staff members.

• Fast-paces environment and work under pressure.
