Job Description
Serving Surrey for over 15 years with great tasting pizza and curry dishes at the best prices in town! Give us a call now we are ready to serve you quality pizza and Indian food every time. We currently need three Cooks to start as soon as possible.
Job Duties

• Prepare and cook complete ethnic Indian cuisine dishes such as variety of chicken, goat, vegetarian etc.
• Stock inventory required to make tandoori items appropriately
• Follow and execute chef direction for preparing dishes
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation/hygiene regulations
• Clean up station and store leftover food in appropriate conditions
• Manage and train staff such as food servers, dishwashers and kitchen helpers. Lead the kitchen helpers according to your own needs to avoid long wait times
• Must be able Work without supervision and Oversee all kitchen operations to ensure smooth service
• Observe and maintain the presentation standards of food up to company standards
• Keep a track of the food stocks and other supplies, and maintain inventory according to avoid any disruptions in service
• Ensure that food safety procedures are followed as instructed in company’s Standard Operating Procedures
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen area
• Clean the Kitchen area and all equipment after the service is over

Employment requirements

• Completion of secondary school will be an asset.
• 3-5 years of commercial cooking experience with at least one year out of that as ethnic Indian cuisine cook is required
• Basic English is a requirement too.
• Ability to work in kitchen for extended hours.

Benefits
As per mutual agreement and BC Employment standards act, 4% vacation pay of the gross salary will be paid each pay period with 10 days of unpaid vacation annually or the option to choose 10 days of paid vacation annually with no vacation pay on each pay period. Free meals on work during the work hours.
