Job Title: Cook (NOC 6322)

Employer: Lahori Sweets & Restaurant Ltd., Surrey, BC

Position: 2 (Two)

Work Setting: Restaurant

Job Type: Full Time and Permanent (32 to 40 hrs a week)

Wages: $ 17.00 per hour and all other benefits are as per Canadian law

Start Date: As soon as possible.

Skills and Employment Requirements: -

  • Completion of secondary school or trade certificate or diploma or other program in cooking and food safety is usually required
  • 7 months to 1 year
  • English

Job responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: -

  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods,
  • Plan menus, determine size of food portions,
  • estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies,
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas,
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food,
  • Order supplies and equipment,
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers,
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment,
  • Clean kitchen and work areas,
  • Manage kitchen operations
