JOB DESCRIPTION
The Beauty Shop Manager at JY Beauty Ltd. will be responsible to formulate, coordinate, and approve accounting, marketing, operation, and management strategies to grow the business. He / She will also setup necessary programs and training to improve the wellbeing of employees and maintaining effective communication with the team. He/she will also strive to create a nurturing and positive work environment at JY Beauty Ltd.
EMPLOYMENT LENGTH: PERMANENT 30-40Hrs Full Time

WAGE: $30/Hr
LOCATION: Burnaby, BC
JOB DUTIES
The duties of the Beauty Shop Manager at JY Beauty Ltd. will include but are not limited to:
- Working collaboratively with the departments to develop appropriate business and operating strategies for the company
- Representing the company to act on the behalf of the company in negotiations and official functions.
- Securing long term contracts with existing & new Canadian and International personal care businesses including but not limited to hair salon, spa, beauty shop, and brow shop.
- Ensuring long lasting business relationship with beauty products suppliers and manufacturers.
- Willing to explore new market opportunities outside of Vancouver. Including new suppliers, product variations, and strategic alliances.
- Understanding the Canadian Food and Drug Act and ensure the beauty products that are used for distribution and used in beauty services abide to the regulations.
- Adjusting on personnel expense and hiring or contracting process according to the business needs.
- Supervising the day-to-day operation and the employees.
- Conducting marketing and competitor research to understand customer preferences and adapt to the competitive landscape.
- Researching a variety of topics (e.g., grants, community service organizations, best practice program strategies and methodologies, etc.) to maintain knowledge of trends, supporting program activities, and changes and/or making recommendations.
- Demonstrating leadership to the entirety of the company and work cooperatively with the team.
- Reviewing accounting records and formulating suitable budget plan and strategy to improve the business.
- Identifying and addressing potential risks and opportunities for the company
- Overseeing the company’s fiscal activity, including budgeting, reporting, and auditing.
- Strategically planning and managing logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services to streamline operating process.
- Keeping track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, and transport costs.
- Arranging warehouse, cataloging goods, planning routes and processing shipments.
QUALIFICATION
- Completion of Secondary School Education
- College Diploma or Vocational Certificate in Beauty Services
- 1-3 years of experience in Beauty or Makeup Services
