Wages:                                  $16.50 per hour, overtime after 40 hours per week $24.75 per hour

Benefits:                                4% vacation

Job Type:                               Full time and permanent

Start Date:                             As soon as possible

Language Requirements:         Basic English ability is required. 

Education Requirements:         Secondary School required.     

Employment Requirements:

(a)   Completion of a two-year apprenticeship program for cooks, or

(b)   Completion of college or other program in cooking/culinary arts, or

(c)   Two years of commercial cooking experience is required. 

Job Description:

Cooks at Homestead Brewhouse Restaurant prepare and cook a wide variety of foods, prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods as instructed by the Executive Chef, supervise kitchen helpers, oversee kitchen operations, maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, clean kitchen and work area, may assist in planning menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies, and may specialize in specific cuisine.
