Salary: $24.00 / hour

Job requirements

Languages: English

Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from program 1 year to 2 years

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Ability to Supervise: 5-10 people

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Repetitive tasks, Standing for extended periods

Personal Suitability: Client focus, Excellent written communication, Excellent oral communication, Reliability, Dependability, Initiative, Effective interpersonal skills

Additional Skills: Hire and train or arrange for training of cleaning staff, prepare budget and cost estimates, Prepare budget and cost estimates

Specific Skills: Receive payment for specialized cleaning jobs; Inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards; Establish work schedules; Co-ordinate work activities with other departments; Assist cleaners in performing duties; Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers; Recommend or arrange for additional maintenance services

Work Setting: Hotel, motel, resort

Workers Supervised: Janitors, caretakers and building superintendents
