Sandy Farm Market (The Produce on Kerrisdale) is an independently owned produce retail store operating in the Vancouver neighborhood of Kerrisdale. Sandy Farm Market provides proudly selected vegetables and fruit from both local and foreign farms to the local community with the best qualities and affordable prices. Currently, we are expanding our customer base with delivery service and looking for a Head Dispatcher.

Position: Head Dispatcher

Wage: $25.40 - $26.40 per hour (Depending on working experience)

Working Hours: 30 hours per week

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Starting Date of Employment: As Soon As Possible

Position Available: 1

Benefits: 4 % vacation pay or 10 days of paid vacation

Work Location: 2072 West 41^st Avenue, Vancouver, BC, Canada V6M 1Y8

Job Duties:

• Supervise, train, and support delivery clerks and schedule their work shifts;
• Cooperate and coordinate with instore staff to prepare and manage delivery packages;
• Confirm and manage delivery orders to ensure on-time dispatch and delivery;
• Plan day-to-day delivery routes based on the orders and make immediate adjustments if needed;
• Check and control the quality of products and packaging;
• Ensure the standard of delivery and customer service throughout the processes;
• Answer inquiries and resolve complaints from customers;

Job Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school is usually required;
• Several years (at least 2-3) of experience as a supervisor in relevant fields;
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks with great attention to detail;
• Enjoy the challenge of multi-tasking in a high-pressure environment.
