Salary: $16.00 / hour

Job requirements

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 1 to less than 7 months

Ability to Supervise: 3-4 people

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Standing for extended periods

Work Site Environment: Odours, Hot

Personal Suitability: Team player, Flexibility, Effective interpersonal skills, Excellent oral communication, Client focus, Team player

Additional Skills: Establish methods to meet work schedules, Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, Prepare budget and cost estimates, Address customers' complaints or concerns, Hire food service staff

Specific Skills: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, Estimate and order ingredients and supplies, Ensure food service and quality control, Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, Prepare and submit reports, Supervise and check assembly of trays, Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys, Establish work schedules, Estimate and order ingredients and supplies, Must have knowledge of the establishment’s culinary genres.

Work Setting: Lounge or night club

Workers Supervised: Kitchen and food service helpers, Food service counter attendants and food prepares; Food and beverage servers
