Personal Trainer/ Health and Fitness Advisor

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assessing clients’ fitness level.
• Plan and facilitate wellness/fitness programs.
• Creating individual client fitness programs.
• Facilitate and lead training sessions for clients (Individual and Group).
• Instruct, demonstrate techniques and keep participants safe during exercise.
• Guiding clients on using the sports and fitness equipment.
• Testing and assessing clients’ performance.
• Providing information on a healthy lifestyle.
• Follow-up with clients to ensure adherence and retention.
• Implement and monitor all safety measures and rules including COVID-19 protocols while leading sessions.
• Maintain records of the training activities for clients, preparing reports.
• Maintaining the sports equipment in good condition.

Required Education & Experience

• Minimum 2-3 years of previous experience in sports program activities.
• Completion of a high school diploma is mandatory.
• First Aid or Emergency Care certificate.
• A college certificate or diploma in physical education is an asset.
• Personal trainer certification is an asset.
• WAKO (World Association of Kickboxing Organizations) is required 

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Demonstrated ability in fitness programs.
• Technical knowledge of the fitness and sports equipment and ability to maintain and repair, if necessary.
• Leadership and excellent communication skills, ability to supervise.
• Team player.
• Accuracy and speed in executing daily tasks.
• Physical stamina for exercising and working in a standing position for extended periods of time.
• Highly focused and motivated.

Pay Rate/ Salary: CAD$ 21 per hour
