Job Title: Harvesting Labourer

 

Terms of Employment: Full time, Permanent positions

 

Start Date: As soon as possible

 

Wage: $15.65 - $17.00 (Depending on experience)

 

No of Positions: 20

 

Job Duties:

• Perform tasks such as hand harvesting, picking, sorting, packaging mushrooms
• Loading/ unloading farm produce and supplies for transport
• Cleaning and preparing mushroom beds and working areas
• Sanitizing picking tools and working areas
• Assist with general farm maintenance and maintenance of equipment and tools

 

 

 SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

 

Education: No formal education is required.

 

Experience: No formal experience required. Training will be provided.

 

Language: No specific language required

 

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

 

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work long hours with repetitive tasks
• Ability to handle heavy workloads, in which can be physically demanding
• Ability to distinguish between colors, hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Ability to bend, crouch, stand and kneel for long extended periods
• Ability to work at a high-level height
• Ability to work in dust, cold (refrigerated) environments
