Responsible for providing efficient and effective administrative and office support services to the Head and Department as required.
Carries out special assignments as directed.
Coordinates the preparation of responses to internal and external communication requests.
Researches information and prepares a variety of correspondence reports and other material related to the work
Assists with managing the departments’ budget(s) and processes the payment of invoices
Maintains the departments’ document management process and technical library
Maintains administrative records and provides guidance and direction to departmental staff regarding administrative functions, office procedures, and corporate policies.
Exercises analytical and problem-solving abilities to effectively investigate and expedite various matters, issues, and priorities for the Department Head.
Works with various internal/external correspondence, records, reports, data, technical specifications documentation, databases, etc.
Performs duties in accordance with established practices and procedures.
Exercises considerable initiative in planning and organizing work responsibilities to meet changing conditions and deadlines.
Carries out special projects/assignments and identifies potential issues.
Other documentation and information as required.
Skills and Requirements:
Completion of secondary school and training courses or a vocational program.
2+ years of experience in a similar capacity.
Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required
Excellent time and stress management skills.
Good English language skills.
Ability to work under pressure
