Job Description

· Maintains up to date knowledge of recipes, procedures and plating for all menu, special and promo items for which she is

responsible

· Prepares grill/char grill/salad/sandwich/entree items to recipe or special order

· Meets timing standards

· Coordinates orders with others, assists co workers as needed

· Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods

· Oversee kitchen operations

· Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment

· May hire and train kitchen staff.

· Works cooperatively with front of house staff to respond to guest needs

· Ensures his/her areas of responsibility are well stocked and guest ready

· Maintains high standards of cleanliness, safety and food safety throughout the shift

·As required: stock taking, cleaning, opening and closing tasks; and any other duties designated by the management team

or Kitchen Leader.

 

Education & Experience:

• Grade 12

• 7 months to 1 years previous experience working in a fast paced restaurant kitchen is required.

 

Other Requirements:

Applicants must be available to work a rotational shift schedule including days, evenings, nights, weekends and statutory

holidays. Please note shifts rotate between 6:00AM and 11:00PM.
