Automotive Painting and Refinishing Technician (NOC 7322)

 Wrap'n'Ride is seeking an Automotive Painting and Refinishing Technician (NOC 7322) for Greater Vancouver area. It is a full-time, permanent position, 30-40 hours/week, $25.48/hour. Vacation 4%. Sorry, we do not offer any benefits. Start date as soon as possible.

As an Automotive Painting and Refinishing Technician, you will be expected to perform the following duties:

• Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams
• File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools
• Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting and wrapping
• Mix and match colours
• Apply primers and repaint surfaces using brush or spray guns
• Repair or replace interior components, such as seat frame assembly, carpets and floorboard insulation
• Cleaning interior and exterior of vehicles according to company standards and applicable safety measures
• Safely and carefully dismantling vehicles and parts for proper installation
• Full vehicle graphic wraps, and vinyl lettering, including, but not limited to installation of graphic applications on all types of vehicles, truck sides and windows.
• Installation & removal of vehicle graphics and wraps

Requirements:

• Must have completed high school or equivalent.
• Must have at least 1-2 years of directly related work experience.
• Must have excellent organization skills.
• Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Must be able to measure and cut accurately
• Must be proficient with tools
• Time management is a MUST - with the ability to meet deadlines while exceeding customer expectations
• Ability to work as an individual or as a team member
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and customers
• Willingness to discuss other opinions and ideas
• Strong work ethic and great attitude
• Must be able to provide at least one professional reference upon request.
